void socket.start(int port, int connectionLimit)

The socket.start method is used to start listening on specified port.

Parameters

1) int port The port for the server to listen on.
2) int connectionLimit The limit for the amount of connections.

void This method doesn't return a value.

  • Sockets can be either a server (listens for connections) or a client (connects to another socket). This function starts the socket in server-mode.
